Restoring History, Building Community: The Temptations Chocolates Building

We’re excited to offer a first look at Minerva Yards —our latest project at 1929 S. Halsted will bring 35 units of workforce housing to the historic Temptations Chocolates Building in Chicago’s Pilsen/University Village area.

Built in the 1920s, this neo-Gothic landmark was once home to the beloved Temptations Chocolates company. At Aberdeen Development, we’re preserving its iconic terra cotta detailing while adapting the space to meet today’s housing needs.

This project is more than a restoration—it’s a reinvestment in community. By transforming a piece of Chicago’s confectionery past into affordable workforce housing, we’re honoring history while building for the future.
